Healing Together After Loss

At Grace Survivors of Suicide, we offer a free, compassionate, nondenominational support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide. Our community is here to provide understanding, comfort, and healing in a safe space. Join us as we navigate this journey together, sharing stories and finding hope in our shared experiences.

We meet from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month at Grace Church in the Mountains, 394 N. Haywood Street, Waynesville, North Carolina

Hope shines brightest in the darkest times.

Edward Shneidman, known as the "Father of Suicidology," introduced the term "Psychache"—the deep, overwhelming pain of the soul, accompanied by a loss of hope, which can lead to suicidal thoughts as an escape from suffering. Suicide affects many lives, and those grieving a loss deserve ongoing support and care.

This Grief Support Group for Survivors of Suicide Loss is a safe space for those mourning the death of a loved one who died by suicide. Here, individuals can share their experiences, express their grief, and be truly heard by others who understand and care. We do not seek to erase pain, grief, or guilt, but rather to help members process and navigate these emotions—normalizing the grieving process in an environment of compassion and support. As the saying goes, "The medicine is in the shares."
